“Carnival” explores the female body as a space of resistance and celebration in Northeastern Brazilian culture. Through embroidery, music, and performative objects, it reclaims the carnival aesthetic as freedom and expression, while the creation of costumes rooted in Afro-Indigenous traditions affirms the festive and collective identity of Brazil. It connects to memory, a central theme in my current artistic research. This installation took part in the project “Drawing as Thought” at the Águeda Arts Center, 2024–2025, curated by João Silvério.
